The Seth books are world-renowned for comprising one of the most profound bodies of work ever written on the true nature of reality. In this brand new volume of original material, Seth invites us to look at the world through another lens—a magical one. Seth reveals the true, magical nature of our deepest levels of being, and explains how we have allowed it to become inhibited by our own beliefs and conventional thinking.

The Magical Approach teaches us how to live our lives spontaneously, creatively, and according to our own natural rhythms. It helps us to discover and tune into our natural, instinctive behavior. By applying the principles in this book, readers will learn to trust their impulses and discover the highest expression of their creativity.

“We are indeed dealing with two entirely different approaches to reality and to solving problems—methods we will here call the rational method and the magical one. The rational approach works quite well in certain situations, such as mass production of goods, or in certain kinds of scientific measurements—but all in all the rational method, as it is understood and used, does not work as an overall approach to life, or in the solving of problems that involve subjective rather than objective measurements or calculations. The magical approach has far greater weight, if you use it and allow yourselves to operate in that fashion, for it has the weight of your basic natural orientation.” —Jane Roberts, Speaking for Seth

"I remember, many years ago, as a young woman, living in Durban in South Africa, seeing this book in shop windows. I became intrigued by the scowling face of Jane Roberts on the cover, and tried to read it. Of course, sometimes one is too young to read certain books, and needs a little more mileage under one's belt, so to speak.

Yet at the same time, this book is clearly a book of its time -- the 1970s -- and reflects our lives at that seminal time. The 70s were a time of re-evaluation and the beginning of the notorious "me" generation. We were evaluating the traditional spiritualist church/psychic medium approach to communicating with spirits and finding new ways of doing this. This was the beginning of channelling as we know it now, and it was a magical time.

So, all these years later, does this book have anything to offer... the answer is definitely yes. It offers one perspective of the spirit world, and the transmigration of the soul that is sorely lacking in the current fancy of "perfect spirit realm, complete with dead grandma, tea, toast and angels." There is something much deeper out there than the soft fluffy peddled by the marketing giants at hay house, and one of those pointers is the words via the late Jane Roberts and others.

I recommend this book. Read it and be prepared to step back in time!!! enjoy!"

  • When you reach the point in your spiritual journey where you can visualize, write/speak to affirm, take inspired action guided by your intuition and simply TRUST the Divine to really truly deliver amazing results even when you CANNOT SEE THE WAY, this ABSOLUTELY works. I've created houses, relationships, wealth beyond my wildest dreams, luxury cars and more. However the most amazing part of it all is understanding that I actually CAUSED it to be created, even 'modifying the past' to change my NOW MOMENT experience. Many books are helpful and this one guides without getting too detailed like his other books (that I love, as I love knowing exactly HOW it all actually works). I can honestly say that in 30 years of spiritual learning, my SETH books are the #1 book series I've ever read and put into practical, daily life use....and I am truly living the life beyond what I ever once thought I could. Simply amazing when you TRUST yourself and your divine assistance. I've purchased dozens of his books for friends, family, donated them at Spirit fairs and events, all to help others truly discover the power all humans have within them to create our physical and non-physical experiences.
  • This is the last of the Seth books. It is a thin volume containing a LOT of material penned by Rob "Joseph" Butts, Jane "Rubert" Roberts Butts' husband. This was only published after Jane's death. I've been a real follower of the Seth material from the first of the Seth books and communicated by mail with Jane and Rob to a certain extent during the '70s, then Sue Watkins and another of Jane's former students until 1990. I'm glad this book and the one preceding it were not available for me to read until much later. I'm a staunch believer in Seth and his teachings, and to read so much about Jane's last couple years of life was very hard for me to fathom in light of her abilities and the help Seth offered her. I'm coming to terms with the reasons for her death now, and I realize this book is the culmination of Seth's basic message put in dimple form.

As in many of the Seth books, Rob provides far too much information in this book. I've actually read through the entire text 3 times now, and after the first time, I skipped nearly all of Rob's additional comments and notes, finding them unnecessary. I suppose it's good he documented as much as possible about the work, but much of it seems to be filler, depressing filler, in this volume particularly. Seth's dictations are well worth reading, however.
  • I recently discovered this book after reading Seth Speaks. I used to not put that much belief in what goes on after death. I had a long-running interest in finding out what DOES go on after death though, and believe something does indeed happen. But the theories I ran into prior to Seth were unconvincing. Had I run into Seth’s teachings way back then, I would have scoffed at this material.

After a year of assiduously practicing The Teachings of Abraham, I bumped into Seth Speaks. Well, the truth is, a work colleague bought it for me as a gift and presented it in such a way that indicated to me I was completely ready for the material. Diving into that book opened a whole new life view that has changed my experience of life forever and is still opening new vistas (generated internally by my own connection to Source) in my life, my world view and what I know is possible.

After reading Seth Speaks, I chose do dive head-long into all his writings. This was my first branch-out. It’s not a direct how-to. So if you’re looking for that (i.e. specific steps on creating your own reality), I’d strongly suggest focusing on Abraham’s teachings. What Seth does here is in a very indirect way give clues to how you are God, how you create the reality (including the physical matter) you interact with in your life experience of this life, which is really a direct projection of your intentions, responses to the substrate, and reactions to others’ experiences, which you create in yours. “Life” is a gloriously complex system in which we divine, fully-joyful and multidimensional beings are expanding All That Is. This book clarifies - albeit indirectly - how we do that.

It’s deep stuff. Short and quick. But if you enjoyed and felt you got something from Seth Speaks, you’ll get something from this.

I only give it 4 stars because of the indirect nature in which Seth details exactly how to create the world around you. Pay attention to what you read though and you’ll open up a whole new life for yourself.
